I have frequently seen 300 sec. as the threshold value for PLE, beyond which you should be concerned about memory pressure. Where does this value of 300 sec come from? Why wouldn't 60 sec or 1 minute be a reasonable length of time for pages to remain in memory? Thanks!

IMO you should see below options 1. See if other databases has grown t-log files, take a backup and shrink them (don't forgot to verify backup files) 2. you can compressed other files ( except MS SQL Server folder in program files ) 3. Also see if your system requires Defragmentation hth
